Hanart in January: 50 Years of Leung Kui Ting Part II / Qiu Shiming “FRAGMENTS of AUTUMN” Special Screening

In January, Hanart TZ Gallery will feature Part II of “50 YEARS of LEUNG KUI TING”. Paintings from the 1970s until recent works will be brought together to present a rounded picture of Leung’s career over half a century.

To resonate with Leung’s landscape paintings, and to throw light on the spirit of “mountains and rivers” (Shanshui) from the angle of new media, we will screen a 3 channel video work, “FRAGMENTS of AUTUMN”, by Qiu Shiming. The artist spent 2 years at Fuchun Mountain making this film, which is intended as a contemporary response to the celebrated 14th century handscroll “Dwelling at Fuchun Mountain” by Wang Gongwang.
